Do you enjoy the sports and activities you participate in? You should have the rights to participate in the extra-curricular teams and clubs that you enjoy and you should not ave to give that up becuse the government is taking it away from you. You should not have fear in saving your Student councils, your teams, your band, your clubs, in fact, you shouldn't have to risk any of these things.
For some people the soccer field is their life, and for others, the library is what they prefer. These are two very different things, and they both have one similarity, which is that people love those places. the same goes for people who like baseball diamonds, basketball courts, volleyball courts, for some it is even just getting out there and playing the sport or going to the club, even if it's in a different place, it still means alot to some people.
Even if people do know about what's happening behind the scenes, some don't. There are some teachers out there who enjoy giving up their free time to coach the students while they are out on their teams, and other teachers who give up their time to supervise students while they run group meetings. Some of those teachers say that they are trying to keep our extra-curriculars running as long as they can. Will it happen, or will the students have to give up their favourite things, and the teachers have to give up the happiness of being able to put smiles on the faces of the students, and having fun with the kids and teenagers.
Why sign this petition? if we have no more extra-curriculars, how will people get the happiness of being on teams, and get to work as teams and groups? How will the children be given an opportunity to meet new people within their school's community? Please sign this, and give a chance.
