Louisiana public education dollars can now be spent on Bible schools that teach creationism, thanks to a voucher program put in place by Governor Bobby Jindal's government. No longer will Louisiana students have to study the rudiments of evolutionary theory. Instead, they can be fully protected from real science and raised in superstition--all at the tax payer's expense.
Louisiana's new voucher program is described as the "most sweeping" program of its kind in the Huffington Post. It will drain hundreds of millions of dollars away from the state's public schools and put that money into private schools, most of which have a specific religious agenda.
So much for your hard-earned separation of church and state. Tell Governor Jindal he has officially sent Louisiana back by five decades and greenlighted superstition to be taught in the place of scientific research.
