Urge Purdue University Board of Trustees to elect a qualified President

Signing this petition requests that the board of trustees pass on Governor Daniels and chose a president that has,as well, an academic vision that is needed to continue our great university forward. 

The Purdue Board of Trustees has chosen to elect a new president that previously chose a majority of the trustees, an action that violates the boards' own bylaws /conflicts of interest not to mention questionable ethics. Governor Daniels has a record of business-driven leadership. Although this type of leadership has value, he has previously cut education budgets as Governor of Indiana not to mention concerns among many of the fact that he has strong political ties that don't apply to a university environment. Governor Daniels has no academic leadership experience.
