Everyday children with special needs are being bullied , abused, threatened , harassed and left unprotected . Left to fend for themselves. They are being taken advantage of by school teachers , aides and school officials. Because some are non verbal or very lil verbalability . Which leaves them to fall victim to teachers , aides and school official abuse. we as parents can't be in the classroom on a day to day bases to protect our children from this happening to our children . School laws do not provide that to us. Most parents work so they can provide a good living home enviroment for THIER children . I read everyday articles that are about teacher , aide , and school official abuse to children with special needs. It is truly a sad thing to have to read but I am very aware it is so etching that happens on a daily bases . I firmly believe it takes a special person to work with these children . If we have be teachers and ect . Who feel that a use it what needs to happen . They should not be working with our children . Also should be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law . Abuse assault and anyother unwanted behavior towards our children is unexceptable .
I am a mother of a child that has been diagnosed as being severly Autistic . I myself knows the frustration of my child being abused by a school teacher , aides and school official. there were so many things that was happening to my son by school officials what made it worse . When he brought it to my attention and I went to address the problem . No one wanted to help me protect my son . When I drop off my son every morning to school . He was under school care . While I was away from him . It was like putting a bird in with some tigers . I was blessed enough that he has some verbal ability and was able to tell me . What he told me inferiated me . My son was being giving pills by a school teacher . In which I was completely un aware of . But when I went to address principal . Who called in school police . Both ensured me they would catch and take all means to suspend and prosecute who ever gave this to my son . But once I told them it was his teacher . The tables turned and no one wanted to help me . I also went to city police . The officer assigned to the cases did nothing but cover up the whole incident . Their is so much more to the story . But during this time . I learned so much from my son and a lot more of how he has been treated . Which was and has been truly heart breaking to me . He graduated in 2010 but we still live with what this teacher , aides and school official s have done to him .
All to many times abuse is happening within the classroom towards our children with special needs . With no real way of protecting them from teacher , aides and school official abuse . Which leaves them completely helpless to these predictors . There have been children who have died from such abuse on children with special needs . The only true way to protect our children from this kind of abuse . Is to place cameras with in the classrooms of our children for THIER protection . Also it can be for the protection of teachers as well in case oGaulle accusations . Ifcameras can be placed on buses , Bart's , city streets , and other places for self protection or to uncover crimes . Why not have them placed in the classroom of our children with special needs . Who can not speak for themselves to protect themselves . For this abuse it a CRIME to .
