A convicted Utah Sex Offender is running for a spot in a local school board.
Richard Wagner Jones, 67, was convicted for sexually abusing a child in 1990. He spent 5 years in prison and another 10 on probation, he is legally barred from visiting schools until 2015, when he will be removed from the state's sex offender registry.
But none of that is stopping him from seeking a position in the Granite SChool Board's first precinct.
In an anonymous interview with ABC News Salt Lake City, the woman claimed she became Jones' "sex slave" when she was 14.
The woman came from a troubled home and was sent to live with Jones, the station said.
"The story came on and they showed a picture and said his name Richard Wagner Jones and I had another anxiety attack as if all this happened yesterday," the woman told the station.
